I think this has occurred after upgrading to Windows 10.

My IK Multimedia VSTs (SampleTank 2.5XL, SampleTron, SampleMoog, Miroslav Philharmonic) no longer work in T6 32bit. The VSTs are recognised and I can drag them onto a track, but when I try to open them the interface does not open (or rather a very small window opens with nothing but a "close" X icon.

Several other VSTs (not IK) work fine.

I tried removing all VSTs and scanning again. This now fails with some plug-ins which previously worked, then gives up.

So my first question is, has anyone got any of these 32bit VSTs working in 32bit Traction under Windows 10 Pro? (64 bit) or am I wasting my time trying?

I should perhaps add that the IK VSTs appear to work correctly as standalones and as plugins within Acid Pro 7.

Try running Tracktion in admin mode. If your not familiar with doing so, just google "running a program in administrative mode"

Yeah, even under Win7 x64, I had to run several DAWs 'As Administrator' to get them to see ST2.5 properly.

I had already tried running it as administrator (several times). And I'd tried it in Compatability mode for Windows 7. However, thanks to your posts, i retraced my steps a bit. By moving the IK VSTS into their own folder I was able to load them!
They were in a folder with some other VSTs which had loaded previously but not since I upgraded to Windows 10. When I'd been getting the failures it had always apparently "hung" on TwangCombo.dll from Native Instruments. When I'd cancelled it them listed a whole bunch of VSTs which wouldn't load.

My theory now is that it basically didn't get as far as trying the IK vsts.

I'm some way from establishing exactly what has happened and, more importantly, how to overcome the problems but this is major progress and I am indebted to you both for forcing me to look again.

I uninstalled, then re-installed it, and it works fine for me when I run T6 32-bit as an administrator.

Hello folks, i was having same problems with windows 10 and all sampletank bundle synths and effects. i was able to get all of them running fine by uninstalling all of them and then reinstalling as administrator (right click on install file and choose "run as administrator")
- install as usual

now all plugins and standalone apps work fine in all my daws 32 and 64 bit
