Hi Vojtech,

wouldn't it be nice to use an analysis result as input for the freeform eq?
One application would be: I did a room correction with different tools using pink noise. The result is a correction curve which is reflected in the analysis graph (average/maximum whatever).
To use the correction curve with MFreeformEqualizer it would be nice to copy the analysis result as filter input . A good approximation would be enough.
The easiest way (at least for the user) would be an additional button in the analyzer graph settings next to the "copy analysis" button named "use as eq" or something like that.

In addition to that we would need a way to shift the free eq curve up and down to match the unity gain. This would be no bad idea anyway, regardless of the copy mechanism.

FYI this is essentially what "Separate" function of the matching process does on Melda's auto EQs (MAutoEqualizer and MAutoDynamicEQ). It doesn't function as an input transform, but you're looking for a workaround to make the freeform equalizer into a matching EQ.

I would also like to see this feature added, please.
Fingers crossed.

Okay, this is totally outside of the scope of the original feature request... but a 'constantly updating' analysis in the freeform EQ would be even more interesting and creative. Imagine you have one track side chained to another, which has the freeform EQ on it. The EQ constantly takes snapshots of the frequency curve of the sidechain and updates it's EQ while interpolating between updates to keep things smooth. It would basically allow you to map the EQ curve of one sound onto another at all times.

Like i said, obviously not part of the original feature request, but it's just an evolution of what's being asked for and opens up a lot of incredibly interesting potential. Imagine mapping the frequency response of a guitar track onto drum track. It would be like a vocoder but with a very different sound as the sound isn't split up into bands. Could potentially be a whole different plugin. (I'd still rather Vojtech work on an MMorph though!)

Hehe that would indeed need to be a different plugin, but to be honest, I don't think it would be very useful. Think about it - how many times you had 2 audio materials like that, me, probably never :D.
