I often split a part in two, then copy it to another track (Ctrl-klick = real / NOT shared copy). There is no link-symbol on the new copied part.
But when editing, I often see events before beginning and after end of this newly copied part, which are shown darker then the actually meant part. Anyway, with Ctrl-A they will be selected.
Choosing "consolidate" helps.
Is that really necessary? Why not "auto-consolidate" copied parts? I don't know this behavior from any other DAW ...
Also I can select all parts in my project, but cannot treat them at one time (consolidate, transpose ...). Right? Or my mistake?

Things are progressing ok. Slower than in the ideal dream, but realistically it's ok. I still need weeks before i can share a first test version. Difficult to estimate precisely.
