I'm a new user of T6 and DAW's, running it with the Antelope Orion, and have a few questions.
Why does the master output volume control still affect the output volume of all tracks even though they are all routed to individual outs of the Orion, and can this be disabled?
Is there anyway of switching off, or locking, the default audio output so that tracks that I don't want to hear at all go no where? I keep changing default out to o/p 24, which I'm not using, but it often reverts back to o/p 1.
Loving the sound of this software, A/B'd it with a few others which sounded hyped and un-natural in comparison, ie. what went in wasn't what came out.

That's just the way the master section rolls. Off-hand I don't know if this is still the case, but at least up to T3, every output has a cloned copy of the master output section. I.E. if you added a limiter there, all outputs would run through their own private limiter. (I can't test whether this still holds, so feel free to verify).
For levels it makes sense though if you're thinking in terms of a complete mix that's being passed to differing outboard devices, rather than say, differing monitoring devices.
If you have multiple outputs that are being used in tandem, I think I'd be inclined to make sub-mix tracks for each, then you have clear groupings, and completely independent 'master' inserts for each, and at that point you can ignore the main master section. To do this, set the outputs of one or more tracks to be another 'master' track for the group, and then set that master track's output to be hardware output as normal. Now the vol/pan on that track becomes the master for that sub-mix.
I'm not sure I understand your second question though. If you're trying to selectively mute tracks, why not just use the mute/solo controls?

Thanks for the info.
As I am mixing back through an analogue console I do have no need for the master bus, which is why it's presence annoys me. (Orion is 32 in/ 32 out so no need to use it)
Regarding the mute/solo, I found tracks that I didn't want to hear were acciddently appearing but I guess as I become more familiar with the software I will conquer these issues!
