Some may have noticed that all versions of the amazing Melodyne reached version 4 on Thursday this week. Those who have acquired Essential, either with or without buying Tracktion, should now be able to download Essential version 4 as a free upgrade.

The entry-level Melodyne. Melodyne 4 essential contains Melodyne’s Main Tool for the basic editing of pitch and timing, thereby offering a particularly simple and economical entry into the world of Melodyne. You have to log in to your account at the Celemony site. If you have installed Essentials before you will have a license on your account. There is a link to download V4 upgrade. It's all straightforward, simply download the new version, install and Bob's yer uncle.

Pretty good deal on the editor to studio upgrade, awesome...

Anyone tried working with horn parts in Melodyne Studio?

Post

I upgraded to T6, received a Melodyne Essential code from Traction, and when I plug it in to the Melodyne site it says that code is already in use. Anyone have any hints?

Thanks

Brad

Tracktion support tells me the Celemony guys updated their account systems and some codes are not working, and a replacement will be sent soon. So all good now - just waiting for a new code.

Bob being my uncle didn't do it for me... Installed Melodyne 4, activated it and there's nothing in T6. The install didn't ask for a VST path. I found various dll files in the Windows Program Files folder in a few different locations and attempted to have T scan these locations. It found the dll files, yet says they failed to load. The stand alone version seems fully functional.

What am I missing?

I've just tried this. In W10, my Melodyne.vst3 file was in the Common Files sub-folder of the Program Files / Program Files(x86) folders. There was a spot of "failing to load" at one stage, but probably due to 32-bit/64-bit differences.

Are you saying that it works now, after "a spot of failing to load"?

If so, what fixed it?

It works now. I hadn't expected a VST3 file, so had only scanned for VST ones.

Thanks Jabe, that did the trick! Didn't even think to scan for VST3's

$149, I thought that was pretty good for the upgrade to the full studio.

-Cheers
