Hi, Blue Cat Audio -
Years ago I used NI Kore (standalone) as a synth rack when performing live. For example, I had 3 separate Kore sounds, plus Lounge Lizard, Pianoteq and First Call Horns VSTis. I would then use my keyboard to select and play each sound (separately) when required.
Looking at your forums, videos and descriptions, I can find no way to do this with Patchwork. However, seeing how flexible Patchwork Stand Alone is, I realise there must be a way - can you help please?
Chris
Using Patchwork live as a Kore-type host . . . !?

The easiest way to do this is to use one parallel chain for each Virtual Instrument. You can then enable each synth separately using the power buttons of each chain. Since these parameters can be assigned to MIDI CC controls, if your keyboard has MIDI buttons that send MIDI CC messages, you can use them to control which sound(s) is enabled.

I had kind of worked through to that point; but when I need to change from Instrument #1 to Instrument #2, can I simultaneously switch OFF the power button for chain #1 (and can I do that via CC message?)
Sorry for being a pest,
Chris

All these parameters can indeed be controlled by MIDI CC. But in order to switch two of them at a time I guess you will need an extra plug-n that convert one MIDI message into two others. So maybe you may want to have a look at Blue Cat's Plug'n Script to do the MIDI control job.
Another way to do it is to save different presets and load/save them via MIDI using the program change method.
