Why all those crazy sales on and on ? I do not understand such a scheme. Are MeldaProduction trying to force customers to buy their bundles? Do not want to quarrel but I like the products but not those sale thing. Maybe someone is willing to explain? :help:

Edit: Wording confusion (no native english speaker here)

You would like someone to explain the concept of a sale?
The reduction in price encourages people to make a purchase.
You like melda plugins and I assume you also like having more money. So what's not to like about a sale?

I think it diminish the value of a product and to a certain degree of the salesman. Personally I think a sale or discount should never or rarely happen especially for a software product. As a customer I feel a bit annoyed to buy a plugin and see a week later that the prize dropped abrupt for no rational reason.

Is the issue the emails? If so, I admit it's sort of annoying if you own the total bundle.

I am not a psychologist but I suspect that there's a motivation for impulse buys even in situations where the sales model is well-known. On the one hand, I have a hard time imagining that Melda gets very many full-price orders since almost everyone knows that sooner or later, sometime in the next few months a plug-in will probably be available at half price. But on the other, if you've got some plug-in that's on your "I'm going to pick that one up a some point" list, having it half off for one week may well prompt you into taking action sooner rather than later - I know it has me on several occasions.

that's it! and at some point no one will buy the products neither with the 50% discount or full price. and then it will drop more. as soon as dev started such an action there is no turning back! just imagine the plugins will now only be available at full price. that's the companies end.

...im not see how melda is any different than any of the other vendors out there...they all discount and bundle, etc...if V! is happy with the current outcome, then all is cool...even at "full" price i find the per unit cost is often (way) less than the name brand competition/etc...ive spent my "adult" life in marketing and software engineering, and my intuitive guess is he is doing ok as it is, and as long as the competition keeps it's pricing where it is, there will never be a need to discount beyond where he is priced now...jmtc..fwiw.../s~

I do not want to say that the plugins are under or overpriced. Melda delivers top plugins for an fair price. And it's not about any bundle pricing. It's more about the cycling sales philosophy.

And companys like TDR, u-he, Cytomic, ValhallaDSP and more uses different ways.

I can tell you he is pretty adamant in respecting the sales windows. I wanted to buy a plugin on sale but I had missed the sale by a week or so. I contacted him and made a request. Vojtech wouldn't budge because he thought that it would unfair to others... he actually sent me an email telling me when I could expect it on sale. I respected his answer and picked it up a couple of months later. - Scotty

Well it's complicated. I understand that one can't get the sale a week later but the argument it would be unfair to others limps. What is with those people who paid the full price?

This is why I suggested the competitive upgrade. So some folks would have an option
other than waiting for a random sale. I would pay 10 - 15 % more for the
convenience of being able to buy a bundle whenever I happened to have the money.
This would actually get him more money than otherwise, yet he seemed offended at the
idea, which I found quite puzzling...

The competitive part was just a way to segregate customers rather than having to
offer it to everyone...

*shrugs...

...been there done that...and in my "big picture" it's not that big a deal...given what ive spent on other plugs i no longer use......pound for pound melda is best deal on "my small planet"...:D.../s~

In addition to the recently released MXXXCore I would suggest a "MeldaUserBundle" instead of those sales.

E.g. the MCreativeBundle contains 26 effects for 399€. The MCreativeBundle have a cost/plugin ratio at 11,53€. (Wow thats cheap for those great plugins)

However. For me just 12 fx usefull. If I would be able to bundle the 12 plugins for myself - of course with a higher cost/plugin ratio let's say 17€ I would pay 204€ for 12 fantastic plugins. It would be still fair and transparent. For every plugin you put in your bundle the cost/plugin ratio sinks.

Just some crazy thought

First you say: "Why all those crazy sales and discounts on and on ? I do not understand such a scheme. Are MeldaProduction trying to force customers to buy bundles? Do not want to quarrel but I like the products but not those sale / discount thing."

But now you want A BUNDLE of Melda plugs for 17€ each (way less most of them cost in the 50% off random sales)?
AND "For every plugin you put in your bundle the cost/plugin ratio sinks"?

Seems your complaint is "the products are not as cheap as I want" but written like it is something MeldaProduction should somehow be "blamed" for.
