How can I tell if my DAW is loading the 64 or 32bit plugins? When I installed the plugin path options were grayed out, 'c:/program files/vstplugins/meldaproductions', so I couldn't change it, but it also didn't install to that location, so I have no idea where the 64bit dll is to point cubase to it? Appreciate any help guys...
Thanks...

I think the greyed out folder you refer to is for data functions of the plugins. There should be options to choose where both 32 and 64 bits are going. 3 folders to point to total. If you have plugins installed you would know with a search: type melda searching all your drives.

Cubase should be able to choose the "right one". But if you want to be sure, just use VST3, the paths are predefined. I'd suggest using VST3 anyway.
