instantiation of previously used 2.6x on Reaper x64 projects, after upgrade to 2.7, still shows 2.6

This is after making sure there are no .dll duplicates anywhere on my system that I can find (including registry searches). Also no installed versions of 2.6x according to Programs and Features.

But if I create a brand new project, a new instance of Synthmaster will show as 2.7. Does anyone know if this is 'working as designed'? Seems unusual.
