Cloud based patch exchange for MUX

Hi there,
wouldn't it be great if MUX patches could easily be exchanged by users via a cloud?
That might be the easiest way not to reinvent the wheel. If we could upload patches or subpatches to a an online pool it would even be possible to work together on a new synth creation. Uploaded content should show up in the MUX file browser.
Of course we can send mails or post ZIP files in the forum but may be there are more elegant ways of exchange today.

I think such cloud should be read-only for everyone, and write-enabled for select users who can manage/moderate that cloud. We certainly must prevent that the cloud is writable by everyone, for security reasons. Right? Would Google Drive be a good solution?

Yes, that seems to make sense. Also every upload should be checked by an administrator before it gets free for further use; just to avoid too much rubbish that would make things only confusing. Perhaps there could be an option to build a seperate developer section where only members of a developer group have rights to edit files. When a project is finished it can be published as a read only file for the majority of MUX users.I think such cloud should be read-only for everyone, and write-enabled for select users
Unfortunately I'm not so much involved in cloud technology. Maybe someone else could help?
But generally I suppose that this could improve the development process rapidly. The german developer "Cable Guys" has implemented such a solution into it's "Curve" synth plugin. Curve has no modular architecture; so it seems as if MUX woul benefit even more of it.
P.S.: The icing on the cake would be if one could up/download even new GUI design elements like the knobs for example. But let's wait and see...

I 'm a Cableguys user and I confirm that they have imo a method for managing and sharing the preset really well structuredDIGIFEX wrote: But generally I suppose that this could improve the development process rapidly. Same here. The only things that I dislike about Cable Guys preset management is that they can not be moved across different computers manually but downloaded only.Taifunk wrote:I 'm a Cableguys user and I confirm that they have imo a method for managing and sharing the preset really well structuredDIGIFEX wrote: But generally I suppose that this could improve the development process rapidly. The rest is a good idea indeed.
Btw, how is the Reacktor library maintained? Is there any supervision taking place?
Box has the best structure management of all the services second only to Amazon AWS.

it's true ,perhaps there is a way I have tried through the folders and found the presets folder, it is certainly not the best way but it worksliquidsound wrote:Same here.
