Something needs to be done to MPowerSynth

I updated to latest version of Melda plugins and there seems to be a problem with MPowerSynth.

It now draws something (cursorline?) on Globals tab during play, which, as far as I know, it didn't do earlier. Whatever it tries to show, it takes one full core (of four) 100%. If I change to OSC tabs, the extra load disappears.

Please, make a option or something, which stops permanently that annoying feature. I can use MPowerSynth now, but now I prefer to freeze MPowerSynth's tracks due to unexpected CPU surges.

MPowerSynth is way too good to be ruined by annoying visual candy. :D

Those are realtime indicators of the current envelopes' position. Did you try the graphics acceleration option in settings? Does it change something? Maybe it also depends on the smart interpolation resolution, I don't now.

No effect.

Btw, I just want an option to (permanently) turn this feature off. If it's useful for others, fine. In my setup, I prefer very minimalist controls.

As I said, MPowerSynth is too good for this kind of nuisance. I must check if downgrading is possible, if nothing is done to this. I hate all kind of unstable features. MPowerSynth has been very stable, so far.

There is an option to turn it off I think. Have a look. I know you can turn off the line in mods I assume its the same for envelopes too. For the record many of us find that feature great, so maybe it's not a case of MPowerSynth being too good for it but rather the feature is not for you.

Actually I just checked and the option to remove it has gone. I don't mind because I like it.

I downgraded to 9.08 in all Melda plugins.

Reason was that in addition to MPowerSynth also other Melda plugs seemed to take heavier CPU load in new version.

There seems to be stuff in the new Melda plugins which doesn't agree with my (quirky) environment or hardware. I'll stay here for now.

Maybe this thread should be removed. If the Melda platform requires more juice than my environment can afford, changing MPowerSynth only doesn't make sense. And if no-one else is affected, there is not enough reason to waste work hours.

There are actually several machines, would be funny signature. This particular one (old i5-750 PC) is now dedicated to audio work, but I will probably move audio things to another one when I'm replacing renderers. Needs to be decided.

Since it has to do with drawing lines I think it might be more of a graphics card / driver issue. Don't know, maybe updating drivers is worth a try.

For original issue, yes it might be worth to investigate; for other CPU load spikes, I just don't know. Might be wasted time.

I do not have time to investigate further and I hope Melda doesn't waste too much time on this either, unless Melda is going to reduce CPU load for the whole platform. My case doesn't justify such a huge effort.

I'm happy with 9.08 and will stay with for now. If/when I begin to work with beefier PC, I'll check the situation. Now, I need to make some underscore work.

Hmmm, well, the plugins are generally pretty much the fastest except for some competition with very limited features probably. BUT in the next version there should huge memory savings, which usually connect to some additional performance savings as well. Anyway I personally check performance of every version in some huge projects to ensure it doesn't get up. So far it doesn't, there were some problems with 9.17 though, so please make sure you use 9.18.

As for your HW and stuff, let me know detailed specs (including audio settings and hosts), I can check if there isn't something suspicious.

As for the vertical lines, they can be removed in oscillators, not in envelopes, there could be a switch too probably, but it should take much CPU, and only if the editor is visible anyway.
