frankly, I'm astonished, and more than a little saddened that Southport, seaside retirement capital of the north hasn't even been considered as a suitable venue.

Bastards.

Glad you got back in the country Valley :D

Post

How many other developers would do this?! :D 8)

Frankly I had greater trouble getting *out* of the country. I forgot that BA now require travellers to present the credit cards used to purchase tickets at time of check-in. Not easy to do when my card was currently travelling around Chicago on a spending spree that frankly I would have liked to have been a part of[1].

[1] I'm the proud owner of a top flight Powerbook for example, and if the amount of purchases at BP/Amoco are anything to go buy, I'm also the proud owner of a small fleet of SUVs[2]. :x

[2] I'm vaguely amused by the tenacity and efficiency of my pocket picking friend but I'd still cheerfully kick the b*stard's head in if he was stupid enough to let me find him.

In early July, I'll be on a sailboat in Greece. Somehow, I don't think I'll miss that. ;-)

Go June! Go June! Go June!

Oh yeah, the strain of it all:

Grappling with complex and often contradictory arguments such as stock up on munchies now and get stoned later, or get stoned now and visit the local kebabery later.

Trying to balance precious time to ensure a high caliber of pool playing whilst still leaving room for an eight hour drinking binge.

I don't know how I made it through.

Oh wait, that's right, I didn't...

me neither.

I decided to make a concerted effort. Once. I turned up at the lecture theatre to find it had shut for the winter holidays the week before. So then I sat outside the pub until it opened.

July inching to front !

Now all I have to do is to convince 'Er Indoors that I'm not out on a bender with the lads ;) ... er hold on I will be !

Post

start of july means after payday 8) . Lot more money to buy drinks
Unfortunately, trains out of london village's home of paddington bear stop at around 1.00am on a saturday night/sunday morn for me (Reading) :-o
However, saturday 3rd means we could start talking (drinking) during the day instead of after work (friday) :D
Tracktioneering for a better place to 'be'.....

Post

Jules, have you got a 'letter from the developer' that we could have to give to partners to explain about the trip being about product development rather than festivelising?
