Melda guis are not laptop friendly and generally to big, oversized

Hi Vojtech,
I know you already did very much on the gui,but I think there is much more possible. On an 13´3 inch laptop screen, which I use on the road for mixing, I have to scroll all the time inside the melda guis, not very intuitive and user friendly. Resizing and using buttons is not the answer, a 80% gui is also not readable.
Maybe you can tweak more at the gui? An idea for showing the bands inside the Eqs, show only the parameters of the selected node (band) when opening bands. Sorry to say, but the gui of e.g. TDR Nova is more straightforward. The Fabfilter guis are in my opinions the most user friendly ones.
Please, rethink your guis again (not only for eq), in a more user friendly way. I know there are so much features inside your plugins, but these features must be reachable and easy to use and fun to use!!!

Hi Marek,
I don't see any way to do that... When you look at the set of features here vs. the ones you mentioned, you get the idea why. You simply have a small screen with low resolution and a plugin with lots of features that need to fit somewhere. With all the styling, collapsing, resizing and stuff, we cannot really get anywhere further. Of course changing the layout of some plugins would be possible, but from what I checked, right now we are at pretty much the optimal state.

Sorry, I don´t wanna confuse at this point. Layout is the point, this could be really optimized!!! Like I mentioned above.
Showing only one band in the band view at a time, only the selected one would be great for me, I don´t know what other users thing about this?!?!?

I often collapse the Bands panel, then right-click the node number in the EQ graph to edit the Band Settings.
A single-band view would save some space though; but there are the problems of how to select the one band to be displayed and how to select another band:

Beside band you could write the node numbers 1,2,3......, so you can select which node you like to change and some arrows left and right to jump between the nodes.

Why not just collapse the bands and right click the node like darkstar suggested?
You don't really need to see the bands anyway, they only have basic parameters like gain, frequency and Q. This can be changed by dragging the node around and when you need more just right click the node to get more control.

That's right, but sometimes it seems easier to finetune with the bands, e.g. changing volume horizontal and vertical. I don't get the eq to change only horizontal without using aito listen (shift+alt), is there another shortcut?
It'a all about these subtle moves, which are easier with the band view.

Darkstar you beat me to it, I was just going to post this.
Except for me alt + drag zooms. I can't get it to change frequency?

So it does - it's all about the timing
. Start dragging,THEN press Alt Click first,THEN press Alt and start dragging

It should behave differently. If you have to start dragging first then almost every time you will change the gain before locking it. This completely defeats the purpose of the feature which is to change ONLY frequency.
Maybe change it around so that you have to start dragging first for the zoom feature instead?

You don't have to start dragging, just CLICK then ALT then DRAG.jmg8 wrote:It should behave differently. If you have to start dragging first then almost every time you will change the gain before locking it. This completely defeats the purpose of the feature which is to change ONLY frequency.
