Congrats on a FANTASTIC release!

Just a quick note to say thanks, and to really tip my hat to the TSC team. This is a fantastic release. I've been "fiddling" with it off and on between a couple of other projects, no showstoppers here as far as bugs or glitches so far.

The interface redesign, workflow improvements, new tools....it really is a spectacular achievement.

I've been spreading the word to friends, other folks in my MA program, and via my various FB feeds. "If you have not looked at it lately, you really should take a look now." Then I usually point them to the Clip Layer FX video. Brilliant tool simply done.

So, lest I am accused of being a fanboy (I'm not), let me end here by saying:

So after a few days of more intensive usage...I still think it is a great release.

I am looking forward to the first hot fixes though...I've had more spontaneous crashes to the desktop in the last few days than I am comfortable with. Some plugins consistently bring it down. (Breaktweaker is one of them for example.) And I've had more than a few instances with different edits when "Save edit as..." results in a beach ball that won't go away. (Have to force quit.)

But stuff like this in a big update happens. Start playing with T7. It's a nice new phase of things.

(You can have T6 and T7 on your system at the same time, so if you are in a critical project phase and T6 is working for you, finish it in T6!)

It does appear to be quite a good release, but like most X.0 releases there are A LOT of things to be ironed out.

My opinion overall will depend on how quickly they fix these issues, and how thorough they are responding to requests and reports.

Agreed. If past is prologue, they will be responsive.
