Is there a "key" to get back into my Mackie Traction 2? My Mackie Traction 2 became corrupt so Im removed it from my computer, and now I can't re-install it. I downloaded the free version, but I lost many of the effects that I really liked. Mackie is no longer in business. I paid about $200. for my Mackie Traction 2, and now it's worthless... drat! Please help if you can.

You're out of luck with T2 Bob. Mackie does not authorize T2 licenses since TSC took over the product and started making new versions of Tracktion.
The good news is that TSC has a FREE version of T4 that will work with your T2 projects.
You can download it at:

NOTE:
The T2 plugins do not work in T4.

As I recall, the $200 version was a bundle with a ton of plug-ins rather than just Tracktion 2 on its own. I remember trying but failing to get hold of the silver or gold bundles at sell-off prices because a company in the US wouldn't sell to overseas buyers. The bare minimum T2 was available for much less than $200 (and less than $100). So not all your $200 purchase is worthless.mule fat wrote:Is there a "key" to get back into my Mackie Traction 2? Is there any chance the keyfile is still on your PC? Any chance it came via email and still exists somewhere as an attachment? I know it was a long time ago.

Thanks Jabe.
I looked all over my PC and can't find the key file. It might have been on an external hard drive that became corrupted. If I'd known how important it was, I would've insured it. I thought that all I needed to re-install T2 was the License, my old email address, and the pass word. I was wrong. My purchase came with three CD's. The Traction Installer Version 2.0.1 is the only one that I ever used. Anyhow thanks for trying.

I believe your projects from your T2 era should still open in more recent versions. T4 should be available for free and once you've bought T5 or later, incremental updates are relatively inexpensive.mule fat wrote:Thanks Jabe.
