Hi.
I created a multi instrument that consists of an instance of Kontakt (loaded with Xosphere) and Serum. I put this in a wrapper and saved it for use across projects. Works like a charm.
My question is this: Whenever I start a new project/edit in Tracktion now, I notice that Xosphere always loads even if I don't have any tracks in the edit yet. Is Tracktion loading Xosphere so it can be ready to go instantly if I drag in to the edit? I don't notice any CPU usage when it is not in the edit, but is there a memory hit? I ask because the impact would be cumulative if I set up a number of these, yes? (CPU hit also after a while?)
Hope that makes sense. Any insight appreciated. Thanks.

If you have a rack in an Edit (i.e. it appears under the "Plugin Racks" menu of the new plugins dragger), even if it doesn't have any instances on a track then yes it will be loaded into memory. It will not use CPU if it's not actually being processed though (except for any idle CPU the plugin may have).
