I've been using Tracktion exclusively since T1.
I've recorded 3 albums entirely on T.
I love the new features in T7.
I'm surprised with the stability on the first release of T7.
I CAN'T WORK WITH THE NEW COLOR SCHEME, PERIOD.
I'm sticking with T6 until they release a new color scheme similar to T6.

I'm somewhat happy to see that many here and many other threads feel the same way about current colour scheme. I will have to stay with t6 as well. It's that bad.alejandrozalaquett wrote:I've been using Tracktion exclusively since T1.

I'm absolutely shocked to see what the Tracktion team has done coming from T6 to T7 colourwise and I'm wondering if Tracktion is actually targeting a completely different usermarket than me.
What has happened? From so very eyefriendly and clean to eyestrain and fluorescent lamp colours to put it mildly. I feel abandoned from one version to the next without a warning.
Please Tracktion dev-team come up with an immediate solution to those who love tracktion and just can't live with this extreme turnaround colourwise.
Please!
Many thanks for caring for your users.

I have used all versions of TRacktion, and it's the first time that I like the default color scheme.
But I hope that there will be a color editor soon....

I had another look and now I'm quite sure that it's not only the choice of colours that has to be changed but also and particularly the new 'gradient colours' implementation for clips.
Both together are a complete strain on the eye and imho someone in the other thread summerized it very well:

Dear developer-team, what can be done as a quick fix. Can you easily make 'gradient appearance' just an option? Something flat and eyefriendly like those previous versions is utterly needed.I'm going to stick with T6 for now. I'm very happy with it. T7 has some quite impressive features but I cannot work with that colour scheme for more than 30mins without getting a headache.
regards

I am thankful too that this topic does not die.
(but be careful, otherwise this gets deleted too ...
Only one solution, vote with your wallet and innundate (not in a bad way!) them with request emails until they see the error of their ways.

how many f**king times does it have to be said that they're putting the colour editor back in in a later update?zxant wrote: Only one solution, vote with your wallet and innundate (not in a bad way!) them with request emails until they see the error of their ways.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Why this tone... unnecessary.how many f**king times does it have to be said that they're putting the colour editor back in in a later update?
I can't remember that there was information on something such as : An immediate update in coming days, weeks, months... or even just T8 ? This is important to know.
And: It is also very important to have someone in the developer team also signal that they understand the huge issue for affected users.
So, if there is such a post detailing this then it would be nice if you could post a link to such information.
@ the developers: Again, I fully understand that a full skin editor in a period of feature development is a heavy burden.
Therefore, can't we have one or two alternative skins that everyone can live with in a way?
Tracktion 6 had many greyish themes and also flat designs. Please don't break with the past in such an abrupt manner until you bring an skin editor back in.
In the meantime give us an greyish, flat one, non-glare, non-gradient as well.
Many thanks for listening.
(It would be a shame to not be able to use the new, essential ClipGroup feature in T7)

I'm not asking for a color editor, just a lighter and less contrast scheme.
I got quite used to the default scheme on T6.

Id be OK with just a dark , medium , or light option . To be honest Im fine with the new look. It reminds me of S1V3 , which has a very basic color editor and presets not as deep as the old Tracktion editor . Alot of people beached and moaned about S1V3s look too .

My problem with S1V3 is that I can't easily tell where one section of the screen ends and another begins. I don't have this problem with T7. The GUI only shows what it needs to in very clear sections.fedexnman wrote:Alot of people bitched and moaned about S1V3s look too .

yes, that's the main point, i hope this is clear by now to tracktion staff.
give us a choice with less contrast, a lighter theme so to speak, where the light/dark contrast is reversed.
light colors for backgrounds, dark colors for text/lines. we had it in t6 default skin, now it is gone.
