Rendered Files: Now you see it now you don't. Why?

T6 latest version is installed.
This is odd..
But when I rendered my final mix to a stereo track I had a couple puzzling discoveries
1) No matter what I name the file it insists on renaming it to the last track I was working on instead of the name I provided.
2) The autorender is a mystery. The sucker never ever stops. Can I set the iterations to only render the file once and be done with it? Why does it keep looping and rendering relentlessly? When I uncheck autorender it keeps on rendering automatically over and over as though I wasn't a partner in the operation.
2) After the unstoppable render, the file appears in the Export folder (with the name of its own choice), but when I close Tracktion it disappears! No file under any name! Gone!
I repeated this behavior several times and it will not reliably give me a export file with the name of my choice that persists on the disk.
What gives? I know music can be transitory but usually the DAW does not make this judgment on my behalf.

(I think I noticed same with T7. Automatic render didn't render a file in the export folder. I had to switch 'automatic render' off to get my render file.

What version of T6 are you using? I though this problem was resolved a while ago...
Sorry you're having problems with this. I hope we can get to the bottom of it soon.
Try renaming just the file name, leave the extension and see if it works. I'll mark this as a bug though as it should add the extension automatically.1) No matter what I name the file it insists on renaming it to the last track I was working on instead of the name I provided.
In the render dialog box. Unchecking "Render Automatically" should disable this behaviour.2) The autorender is a mystery. The sucker never ever stops. Can I set the iterations to only render the file once and be done with it? Why does it keep looping and rendering relentlessly? When I uncheck autorender it keeps on rendering automatically over and over as though I wasn't a partner in the operation.
Is the file still on your hard drive? Did Tracktion exit cleanly?2) After the unstoppable render, the file appears in the Export folder (with the name of its own choice), but when I close Tracktion it disappears! No file under any name! Gone!
Sorry you're having problems with this. I hope we can get to the bottom of it soon.

Thanks for your help. I am using 6.3.0, but I see 6.3.1 has been released, so I am one back.
Let me try to verify your questions. I will do this now, not refer to previous attempts.
1. The file name will not persist. You can change it prior to render (name only not ext) and it flips to another name when the render completes. Verified.
2. The render can be stopped as you describe. Thanks
3. I was able to repeat the file dropping defect. Render, check Export folder while T6 is still open, file is there on disk. Save and close T6, shut down is clean but the file is deleted from the disk.
I hope there is a solution.
Thanks for you help

RESOLVED!
I installed 6.3.1 and everything is working as it is supposed to now. The fixes must have indeed been in that version. I am very happy. Sorry I said 'latest version' when it was not!
Thanks

Just want to correct my previous post: the mistake was mine and it works alright in T7 as well.kvruserr wrote:I think I noticed same with T7. Automatic render didn't render a file in the export folder. I had to switch 'automatic render' off to get my render file.
