Nothing against the modulators (to be honest: everything is completely new in this envoronment for me and I just didn't go deep enough so far for evaluating them. I only know the classic modular paradigm of 'modules'.) I just want to trigger it via a control signal, not only Midi, maybe a threshold value which lets kick in the modulation.

Yes you can do just that. Open a mod and click the envelope tab from the top. Near the top there is an option to select if audio or midi will trigger it. What's more if you have let's say a delay in you signal and you want the envelope to be triggered by that not the input. You can simply right click the delay and choose generate feedback 1-8, then in the mod select one of the input from feedback numbers that matches the number you selected on the delay.
EDIT:
In addition you can also have the envelope triggered by a change in pitch, this can be used if you have say a pad with very little dynamics but you need the start of each chord to trigger the envelope. Just use pitch modulation in the envelope.

The modulators are (in my opinion) the most powerful/flexible/awesome part of melda plugs. Once you wrap your head around it you'll be sad whenever you use a non-melda plugin.
There's a bunch of awesome tutorials here, definitely worth a watch:
