there are some things that I noticed that get in the way of an even better workflow.
1) when I have e.g. a clip selected and split it at the playcursor then why does tracktion keep both two clips selected. I will now have to select the clip to be deleted by mouse before deletion.
Let's have tracktion have an option to preselect the right clip automatically as this will predominantly be the targeted clip for the next operation.
Further selection adjustments can still be make if the right click is not the right selection. But atm you will always have to make further selection adjustments and that is not optimal imho.
2) when rendering stems: is there no option to have mono tracks be rendered mono and stereo tracks or VSTi's stereo? ATM you will have to take this decisions track by track it seems and that takes some time.
Can this be more intelligent?
3) when rendering: there should be an options to render without any vst/tracktion fx enabled but leave the VSTi activated. atm this seems to be a rather inconvenient task to deactivate just all vst plugins but leave the VSTi (e.g. BFD drums) active. A VSTi is not really a fx plugin in a sense.
4)FR when there is nothing selected then e.g. alt+cursor up should automatically select a track (top/or bottom/ or last used one). atm you first have to mouse click somewhere.
5) FR: shortcut to record enable a track exclusively while the others get unarmed automatically
6) shortcuts to record enable each track (1-10) individually: making the keyboard some kind of remote control/ controller. Very comfortable.
7) another very important one: shortcut to have the precount audible or inaubible while recording. This so important : when working with musicians that sometimes need a count in for a fresh part it is good to have this two bar count-in with a loud click.... but when just recording the next, adjacent part then you don't want to hear the click but still want the two bar count in. I hope you could follow/ if not please let me know
atm it is not even possible to turn the volume of the countin down further than -15 db I think ...and the 'precount' and 'only while recording' has no shortcut either and it takes the mouse to do the switching when needed.
Many thans and regards
