I absolutely love Mu Lab. You guys are doing a fantastic job! My question of the day is though:
Is there a way to transpose in Mulab without it affecting the tempo?
Whenever I transpose up (for example going from C4 to C5) the tempo speeds up and whenever I transpose down ( for example C4 to C3) the tempo slows down.

That's called time stretching. No it's not yet supported in MuLab, but it's high on the wishlist. Until it is featured in MuLab, you can use an external audio editor to timestretch a sample file and then use the Sample -> Reload function in MuLab to update to the edited version.
