ASIO Direct monitoring and punch-in

First of all, does Tracktion support ASIO Direct monitoring?

And, when I've tried punching in on the program it plays back the section being punched in on and doesn't get rid of it until after the recording is done. I must be doing something wrong, as this makes no sense whatsoever in any musical use of punch-in.

Any light shed will be greatly appreciated.
