2 quick ones, just to sort out if it's me.
Got TR5 when buying the XR18 from Behringer, just updated to TR7.
Noticing 2 things that might be by design or some error,
(well, 1 obviously an error)
1. loading plugins, say for a 4 or 5 channel recording, 1 and on occasion 2 plugins per channel,
the playback tends to become very "choppy" with very distorted effect that cracks and pop's.
The CPU util on the PC itself doesn't max out, but in Tracktion, it looks like it's utilization related.
This relating to the PC being underpowered or simply by design that it happens ?
2nd issue being, loading, unload and trying some plugins, if I then choose to export a song,
Tracktion simply does the magic trick of disappearing. If I reload, do whatever changes I want and export directly instead - then it tends to work
Running clean installed Win7, 32bit with 4GB ram. No security sw's of any sorts running.
Only thing loaded at the same time is x-air. This machine is for doing this job only, so clean otherwise from
running processes.

Which audio setting are you using - ASIO or one of the Windows ones? The breakup sometimes happens if your # samples under ASIO is too small. Of course, increasing that does have an effect on latency.

Thanks Peter,
Think I've tested with different buffer settings knowing about the trade-off with latency, butt can't say I've noticed
any real difference.
But, what I haven't done is to install any 3rd party ASIO support, only ran the Behringer installer for the driver, so
that of course is something worth giving a shot...
Thanks for tip !!
