Is someone out there who could build a good recreation of the bx refinement plugin inside mxxx. It's against harshness, build of a dynamic eq and some saturation.

From what I heard it's a simple equalizer... Just use MAutoDynamicEq and learn it yourself.
PS: Do I remember correctly or is it you who often comes up with "could someone do this in MXXX"?
Instead of trying yourself
. I understand you love outsourcing huh?

The first real problem is I don't own bx refinement, tested it already long time ago.
Second, my own, don't trust enough in my know how, although I´m better than many people outside;-) But I want the best results and treatment for my audio signals, so it would be nice to have some real professionals doing thinks like this. But we all know every audio signal is different, so most time presets are only starting points, but a great starting point would be nice. You need professionals, that's something I don't understand. You know your plugins best, but it seems like you're not doing so much presets, like you said in another thread, but why?
Presets can be hit and miss and I often feel like, melda presets have one big problem, there is no real structure, categories (like vocals, ....). Enough words and at the end I'm happy using a eq and a comp to get a balanced sound and a bad signal will never sound good!

I second Savana's aim here, if not how he presents it.
Have been eyeing BX-refinement for more than a year, and have not taken the plunge because it comes across as blurred as its opposite 'tube magic´glaring plugins; it just promises taking out the roughness and grit of recordings based on what?
. As said above, it might be no much more than an EQ or, at its best, some kind of defilter algorithm, what we do have is a good dev name + functionality claim.
Personally would welcome some ideas about how to achieve such refinement in audio or what similar processes do. Hopefully sort of reaching comprehensive explanations
like inex. a dynamic staged conditional EQ or whatever, being those either already achieveable with MXXX or as matter of inspiration for our dev to come out later with some engineered solution. A creative discussion rather than the actual obscurity or just unfounded marketing claims.

I don't understand what you want from me. But this post can be deleted and I won't ask again for something like this and do it myself or go with other plugs. So, sorry.

I don't mind you asking for things like this, that's not the problem.Svama wrote:I don't understand what you want from me. But this post can be deleted and I won't ask again for something like this and do it myself or go with other plugs. So, sorry.
The problem is that you mentioned Melda plugins that are in private beta and are not supposed to be discussed in public yet. I can't delete your post, but you can edit the comment with the little "paper and pen" icon.

For what it's worth, these new plugins have been mentioned on the "bundle comparison" page on the melda website for a couple of weeks now:
https://www.meldaproduction.com/bundle-comparison
… though when you click on the links they don't take you anywhere.
(I'm not on the beta program so have no idea what they are – just curious

Thanks. I actually didn't realise that Vojtech already discussed it, sorry.Svama wrote:Vojtech already wrote about it in another post and I didn't tell any insides. But I changed my post.

Svama,
I took a cut at doing something like the bx refinement plugin using MAutoDynamicEq. It isn't an exact replica, but it is in the ballpark (based on the demo of bx refinement). It uses a dynamic EQ band that change bandwidth based on the amount of gain reduction applied.
I have no idea if it is okay to share a preset that attempts to emulate a non-Melda plugin. If this is not an issue, then what is the best way to share an MAutoDynamicEq preset? If it is an issue, then pretend I didn't write this post!

"is okay to share a preset that attempts to emulate a non-Melda plugin."
Nothing wrong with that.
"the best way to share an MAutoDynamicEq preset"
Click on the copy button in the melda plugin, then paste it on http://pastebin.com/ then post the link here.
