Using IAC with externel source

So I am trying to use and external sequencer where each channel plays a different soft synth. If I use the midi indicator it only points to one track. So I figured out a way to use a program to patch those channels to different IAC ports, but now the tracks don't seem to receive the midi data. What I want to do is have each selected midi input play a different soft synth track. Can someone help me?

what about using racks?

the problem with racks is that it only uses one midi input. the only thing you can add is audio input. I need something where I can have one source of midi where each channel played is diverted to different soft synths.
