Synthmaster 2.8.4 Standalone

I have the latest version of SM (on Win 10) and couldn't get it to work in standalone mode (at least via my midi controller).

I have a midi controller keyboard that's hooked up to my Focusrite 2i4 audio interface (USB/ASIO drivers). In the I/O section, SM sees my 2i4 which is selected, but can't get any sound out of it. If I use the PC Keyboard, the sounds work.

I've tried reinstalling the drivers for my 2i4, changed the sample rate from 48 to 44.1, but nothing worked.

On a separate note, I also use Jam Origin's MIDI Guitar and I can't get this newest version Synth Master to work either.

However, it works fine within my DAW (Sonar Platinum), but I would like to test it out in the standalone mode/review the sounds etc....
