Some folks might recognize my name or Perimeter Sound, from the Zebra patches I've done. If not, hello, my name is Jeff, and I've done 6 sets of Zebra patches ha-ha. :hihi: After having Hive for a year and a half now, I'm finishing up my first couple of patch sets for it here in July (just about done actually, fine tuning the modwheel assignments). Below are some quick examples, but before that : 2 things I was hoping to ask of you kind thread readers.

1) I am still looking for persons with Hive to make some short audio demos for my patches. (More info here - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&t=466448 )

2) Comments about the example sounds, and/or requests for something you don't hear.

That's it really, thanks for checking this thread out, and below are the short mp3s.

Here are several short audio examples. Just Hive, a few notes, and a little modwheel.

^ That last one hurt my head. I thought it up, programmed it, and it worked....And it sounds even crazier than I was hoping it might. :)

Thanks. :) That's always the goal, interesting & usable sounds. Hive has been pretty easy to work with, but it's also taken me this long to really squeeze something *different* out of it. Then again maybe I'm just slow ha-ha. :hihi:

I am still looking for a couple of folks to make demos. :)

The first and third sample had some very interesting qualities to them.
I really like that you try to squeeze something *new* out of it. Can't wait to hear more of this collection.

Hey thanks for checking them out and your comment. :) I agree about #1 for sure, and #3 has a pretty thick and/or warm electric piano vibe to it. I don't know if that's been done before with Hive or not, but there are going to be a number of 'KEYS' patches in the sets.

I am still looking for demo makers, if anyone likes what they hear and wants to make a little 2 or 2.5 minute track. The 5 audio examples I posted are from the first set, but there are plenty of similar-ish sounds to be had in the other 2 sets that need some demo love. :hihi:

I've gotta get back to work and finish up the 2nd set of Hive patches, but I thought I would *bump* this thread one last time. Does anyone have any requests for types of patches ? I'm mostly doing the basics really, Basses, Keys, Leads, Pads, Synths.

Is anyone super into patterns, like what I guess I would term "rhythmic arps" that are meant to be like background stuff, basslines, or just one note patterns that can be used for cool filler in tracks ? That's about the only category missing that I can think of and/or get excited about, and really only then if other folks are wanting those.

Other than all that, I've got one great demo guy working with me so far, still looking for anyone else interested. Pm me with a link to some of your music if you are.

Thanks. :)
