Cant unlock T5 free

Hello,
I cant unlock my copy of T5, I get error T601 "You do not have a valid license for this product version". Offline registration offer key only for T4. Any solutions except uninstall ?

Hey,

had the same issue some weeks ago and also posted it in several threads. I downloaded T4 when it was the "latest" free version. The solution which worked best for me was to create an account at TSC and contact them. In my case they added a license to my account and after that it was dead simple to activate it T.

Well, of course I want to grab a copy of T5 now and facing the same problems again. Would be great if they simply added a license for T5 to every registered user, but thats not the case.

I think there is something wrong with whole registration system at the moment. I dont want to bug the devs again with some stupid "want this free shit"-request, therefore I havent got in touch with them about this issue. I decided to wait some time, maybe they'll inform folks about the anytime soon in the forums or via mail!?

Simply contact our support team if you have difficulties - we have noticed there are certain IP addresses (mostly foreign - but not all) that seem to trip up the system - our web team is working on a fix as we speak, however our support crew can hook you up right away

same problem here ,I ended up creating 2 different acounts .

On the website for oofline registration I can't select the tracktion5 from the dropdown , it stays blank .

Registering fromm within tracktion 5 , gives a connection error , for some reason Its trying to goon the internet with internet explorer .

I emailed ,theyjust gave me a link to tracktion zen desk ..wtf ...so I created a new acount hoping that the zen des would make all things ZEN , NOppes .
I emailed them my machinenumber code ..

Guys ifyou give tracktion away for free just make it a simple download and get rid of al the hassle .

Yeah. T is already fairly underestimatd and such an inconvient way of software deployment makes it really unlikely to get used. In my opinion it would be nice to add T5 free to the marketplace as "0.00$" product. This way, people simply have to register on TSC (which is OK for getting a free DAW, other than a trial/demo) which makes it also more friendly to use in case of a reinstall. In addition to that, there might be a chance that peeps would take a closer at the market place and find something.

call me stupid , but dropping the keyfile on the tracktion windows does nothing ;


Edit , right click keyfile -->open with 'choose tracktion 'does the Job

Here is how to get your free copy unlocked.
edit your account at tracktion.com,then go to Marketplace.Next in the search box type t5, select t5,check out and place order..Now open Tracktion 5 and unlock with email and password.Close the daw and open again.Done.

many thanks! I looked into the store several times and never found any kind of older or free DAW listed there. Great that this can be done already! But I have to complain again, the store is a bit messy. Besides that and the lack of information (which leads to threads like this one here) regarding "proper" registration everything should be fine!

When I go to register T5, it accepts the username and password, but then asks for it again in 2 minutes. Perhaps it's my IP, I'll have to try it elsewhere.

I have found that when installing for the first time, be it a new computer or a new version, it's best to exit/relaunch Tracktion after registering the first time. YMMV, but that's what has worked for me. If I register and continue working on first launch it prompts me to register a number of times.
