Got evidence?

Post

Can you show concrete examples of which sounds?

Post

that's only some there all nearly took from ableton
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Post

Do you know who produced them, and provided them to Ableton, and most likely did the same for Mulab?
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

By evidence, we mean let's see how the sounds compare, sample for sample. For instance?
Sample "A" Vs Sample "B" shown as wave forms.
Further, they are kick samples, a lot of them (without being crude,) do sound similar. The accusation is very serious if it bears out, so forgive us if we want proof, after all Mutools a professional outfit.

Talk about bull in a china shop! Couldn't you have been a bit less tactical about it?! You should ask before making accusations.

@betablade:
Spelt not spelled! :hihi:

Post

I did not steal anything. If your accusation is based just on coincidentally similar file names, even without comparing the sounds, then that's not fine.

Do we have 2 "runaudios" ?
Beauty is only skin deep,
Ugliness, however, goes right the way through

Ableton doesn't ship with ogg files so it's more likely what you are seeing is the result of the Samples tab aggregating samples scanned from various places on your computer - anything added to the places tab gets scanned in so if that includes where you keep your other samples, including MuLabs, they will turn up there. Simple way to find out which folder they are from is right click on one of the ogg samples and select to open its location in Finder or Explorer.

I'd have to laugh if it turned out the files he's on about are actually ableton''s!

I'd laugh even more if they are Mulab's ;)

Actually I just did a search of the factory packs rather than relying on looking at the samples tab and I was wrong - there are some ogg files in some of the addon packs - all I was seeing there was aiffs but the oggs are embedded in the packs but I can't see those particular ones listed.
