When using the dry/wet control for parallel compression, it seems it would be helpful if MTurboComp had a global output gain control that would reduce the entire signal coming out of MTC. Currently Gain Out only effects the compressed signal output, but does not effect the dry level. I have not been able to level match MTC's output to the bypassed state when doing parallel compression.

The Set function appears to only control the above Gain Out rather than a perhaps hidden global gain out, yes?

Or is there another approach I have missed?
Thanks!

It's intentional! ;)
Dry/wet should not change the level, right? Otherwise it would fool your ears when tweaking it. So dry/wet controls the output gain as well, since you probably used output gain to compensate for the gain reduction. If it wouldn't do that, the level would go up and you'd think "aaaaha, with less dry/wet it sounds better" ;)

Ah I see, thanks! First set the 100% wet to level match, then use the wet/dry.

Hey ericzang
What you are trying to achieve cannot be done easily. If you want a lower level coming out of the plugin which is often especially if you are feeding another plugin with different gain structure, forget about the Output Gain. Drop the input level to where you want the output level to be. Then set the amount of compression. Then adjust the Wet/Dry control to where you want it.
Then if the level is not right, Start again with the Input Gain.
In fact every Melda plugin with a mix control has this same "Facility"
I think maybe if you searched "Mars" you may find somebody who understood why this is so. But I think you would be pushed to find somebody on this planet.

The only other way to do it use it inside MXXX and add a Utility module after the compressor and then you could control the output gain.

Spencerlee see above ;). There's an explanation why it works this way, and there's a very good reason ;)
