Hello and thanks to Tracktion Corp for adding the sound design functionality to BioTek! Unfortunately, I see that there is currently no update available for Linux. Does anyone know if a Linux release is in the works and a possible projection of its availability? I've been chomping at the bit to do more on my Ubuntu box with a hot-rod processor, and BioTek SD edition sounds like just what I had in mind.

That's excellent news! I'm sure it probably sounds like users do nothing but make demands and pick nits over the software, but rest-assured, I for one am genuinely appreciative. Can't wait to dig into BioTek's SD functionality!

I have only recently heard about Biotek (when they released the SD version) so I downloaded the trial version and spent rather long time trying to do the stuff shown in tutorials. Unsuccesfully. Only after several hours did I find out that the Linux version is old and doesn't contain the SD functionality at all.
To be clear: I have no problems with Linux updates being late. I have problem with Tracktion newsletter telling me that "Biotek SD is now available" and then getting no indication whatsoever that I am downloading the non-SD version. (The archive is just called "Biotek and Content - Linux Latest")
UPDATE: I have tried to download the trial version again and this time it was indeed the SD version (although the archive name was the same). Thanks for that.
UPDATE 2: It seems that (at least on Linux) the red "S" (Solo) buttons don't work at all ("M" - Mute works as expected).
