Problem 1 is clip effects with no sound. When adding a clip effect, a version of the clip is supposed to be rendered and added below within the clip. In my case, this render comes out with no sound. I can access the parameters etc for the effect, but since the clip has been rendered as a flat zero line, there's no sound, no effect.
Problem 2 is absent midi toolbar. The buttons for choosing midi tools simply isn't displayed. I have an active clip and the mouse pointer inside the clip, but they don't pop up as normal at the top of the clip. The pointer is displayed as the pencil tool and changes to arrows for adjusting length or moving when over a note, but the tool bar with the different tools, access to velocity and so on isn't there.
Any ideas?
