Yes thank you for the wavetable links, I already know about them from the past, but even though they are freely available, I cant use them anyway. About the G-Sonique 64 bit, I was following that news since they seem to be using FlowStone as well, but never saw a confirmation if it actually 64 bit? If that would be true it would be a huge news and it would be all over the FlowStone forums but nope, nothing. If there is anyone who can actually confirm that you do get two vsts one 32 and one 64 bit, Im all ears and definitely want to get a hold of those guys and ask them how they did it.

Great GUI and looks so promising! Love it.
But:
Where's the PHASE INIT?!

Renegade has an x64 version which is essentially a 32 bit flowstone creation with a built-in custom bridge, but for an end user it should behave like a normal 64 bit plugin (unless you don't look at the task manager )

I understand that you can't officially include the Virus waveforms into the package but we can load them at our end if your synth imports wavs I'm posting links here in order other users could quickly find them when the synth is released.

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

i think when the phase knob is in the leftmost position the phase should run freely (like in Virus), by turing it clockwise you set the init phase point.phreaque wrote: Where's the PHASE INIT?!

Thanks for the info, I will get in touch with them later then.recursive one wrote:Renegade has an x64 version which is essentially a 32 bit flowstone creation with a built-in custom bridge, but for an end user it should behave like a normal 64 bit plugin (unless you don't look at the task manager )
Yes thats right, the phase knob controls the osc phases. When the knob is 0, the oscs are free running, and when you turn it you assign the phase positions. Osc 1, will always be 0 phase. Osc 2 will get positive phase, and Osc 3 will have negative phase.

Same concept as in Novation UltraNova seems. So there's no dedicated phase value per oscillatorrecursive one wrote:i think when the phase knob is in the leftmost position the phase should run freely (like in Virus), by turing it clockwise you set the init phase point.phreaque wrote: Where's the PHASE INIT?!

So Viper vs Cell vs Avenger, who's gonna win?

Well, I dont want to battle anyone . I dont know anything about Cell, so I dont know whats that supposed to be, it seems to have disappeared. Avenger seems to be the mother of all synths, you press a key and a whole song comes out of it, there is no way to beat that. My synth aim is to get a close virus sound. Thats its. I believe it has achieved that goal.HunterKiller wrote:So Viper vs Cell vs Avenger, who's gonna win?
By the way, about the virus waveforms. A lot of people who sampled the virus, seem to have not taken it into consideration that the virus has a dc filter at the very end of the signal path. Its basically a high pass filter at the very low frequencies. When people record the waves, you lose some of the very low end, and if you import those waves into another synth which also has a dc filter then you remove twice the low end from the waves and it will not sound identical. The proper way to record the waves from the virus, is to and add a reverse dc filter so you basically boost the low a little and save the waves like that. Then when you import it into the synth its own dc filter takes away what you have added, and you got the same waves now like in the virus.

Allright, I finally had time to make a comparison video with the Virus. There is still some more tweaking to do, but I will let the video speak to itself

Sounds good so far. Just be aware that the real Virus sounds slightly more saturated/warmer in its core sound. It's more rounded, sounds less "empty", or square-like, if you will.
