Hi fellow hobby musicians,
Before I explain my problem - I know that MRhythmizer "records" only two bars, not eight. I just wanted to see, what happens.
I wanted to (live) reverse a 8 bar long part by setting the sequence length in MRhythmizer to 32 quarter notes. I wanted the sequence to start at the 4th bar of my track, but no matter how I trigger the sequence, MRhythmizer does not start the sequence from its beginning but somewhere at the 8th or 16th quarter note (in the sequence graph).
I remember that I had that same exact problem a year ago and I finally had to give up.
Using a sequence length of 4 quarter notes did not help either. Each time the sequence restarts, I hear some weird artefact.
So my question basically is: How do I start a time sequence at its beginning? I have the feeling MRhythmizer just aligns globally to the DAW's time pointer's actual position.
MRhythmizer: How to trigger sequences longer than 4 quarter notes?

Hi vegaron,
first, you need to disable the synchronization, that's pretty obviously your problem - set tempo to "maximum" (or minimum I don't remember
). There it will still sync to tempo, but not the position.
As for the artifact - that's inevitable, it's a discontinuity in time (assuming i'm imagining the reverse graph), but it should be just a little click.

That actually solves the synchronisation problem, thank you!MeldaProduction wrote:first, you need to disable the synchronization, that's pretty obviously your problem
Am I wrong when I assume, that you can not reverse more than 2 consecutive bars of audio? The y-axis in the sequence graph is always 8 quarter-notes long and I can't draw a graph along a 32 quarter-notes long x-axis, that reverses the incoming audio longer than 8 quarter-notes.
Cheers
Peter

Very well!
Set Speed-up to 1/4x and it will be all 4x slower, hence 8 quarter notes will become 32 quarter notes.
