Sustain pedal woes

Synthmaster 2.8.4 VST is the only vsti I have in which the sustain pedal leaves hanging notes. (I use Zebra / Omnisphere / Truepianos / Kontakt etc completely without issues). This happens about 30% of key-presses.

Looking at the update notes I see that fixing the sustain pedal was one of the 2.8.4 updates - well I'm not sure this fix has worked. I am a pianist so the sustain pedal is a big part of the way I use a keyboard.

Difficult for me to review as this spoils every patch I play

Yes. I have mentioned this same issue in other threads. I have nearly abandoned Synthmaster temporarily until they get it fixed. I loaded it up this weekend and absolutely love Synthmaster, but, for playing live, the sustain pedal issue is a showstopper for me. I have used it a few times but I need to reprogram my projects and my keyboard controller to prevent sustain pedal for the Synthmaster MIDI Channels. I don't want to have to do this every week. Plus, while my other pads (I use some multi-layered sounds) are sustaining with the sustain pedal, now my Synthmaster patches fade out and my layered sound is now different from what I want. So for my Synthmaster sounds, I can't use mod wheel or MIDI CC on them while I hold down the sustain pedal.

They DID fix a previous problem where notes got cutoff instead of sustained.

There is a beta mentioned in another thread in the Instruments section. I plan to try that out and see if it is fixed. I have also been meaning to e-mail tech support.

Fantastic!!! I tried the 2.8.5 beta and I can no longer reproduce the sustain issue. I am so excited to be using it again. Thanks for the fix.
