Trying out the demo, and using Garritan Personal Orchestra (GPO) through a Kontakt player, using GPOStudio as the output host.
When I play or record anything, many of the notes are fine, but some chop short of sustaining as they should. It's kind of random, as far as I can tell, but it happens within at least every 10 notes or so. A note that I'm holding will suddenly stop as if I let go of it. This same setup, with the same buffer sizes, etc., works fine in other sequencers, so I'm wondering why it does this in Tracktion.
Also, how do you change MIDI channels? The Kontakt player in GPOStudio holds 8 instruments, each of which would be a different channel #. If I add a new MIDI clip into track 2 or 3 or whatever, then click on the clip and change the channel number in the area below, I am still getting the same sound from channel 1, no matter what channel # I change it to. Am I missing something there?
It's an interesting program, but will have no purpose for me to buy if I can't get this working correctly.
Thanks,
Shaz

Dont know about the midi not cut off thing (I never had that problem). But you can change the midi channel of each midi clip. Just select the clip and then choose its channel from the properties box. You can also select the midi channel of the midi input device. Just click on the device and then choose the channel from the properties box.Shazbot wrote:

For those cut off notes check to see if the "all notes off" or "all controllers off" cc messages has become checked. Look to see if there are controller points entered into the piano roll.
Click on the control knob next to the keyboard for that track and then click controllers at the bottom of the menu.
I have this happen quite a bit and can't figure out how they get there.
Use the eraser tool to get rid of them.
