Since the 2 Turbo plugins have been released, how about a 3rd in the same style. I was thinking about something that would let people design distortion themselves and have a set of easy to use models based on hardware. I was thinking of something like MXXXcore, but with a slightly smaller matrix and only a few modules available. EQ, Saturator, Waveshaper, and Compressor, should be enough. With these I imagine most guitar overdrive distortion pedals could be emulated and also boutique hardware such as the Empirical labs Fatso. With good presets I think it could be popular. Would anyone else be interested in something like this? Personally I'd be interested in trying to copy the circuits of popular guitar pedals, but there are lots of creative possibilities too.

If melda's machine learning process can be used to quickly and easily mimic great sounding new and vintage equipment I would love this. I actually use turbo comp more for the saturation and tone adjustment than gain control (which i prefer mdynamics for), so I would love to see this. Good idea.

Well, to be honest, that's not very interesting idea for me. There are soooo many plugins like that and you can do quite something in MXXX. Personally I don't even feel the need to clone the classic guitar amps, I just don't see why
. Everyone else is doing that, I'd rather focus on something more original.

If it was a version of Sountoys Decapitator with extra Moog type filters, I would agree because it sets the benchmark.
