TIP: Normalizing files to a specific loudness; e.g. -23 LUFS (EBU 128)

Using MloudnessAnalyzer.

(1) set the target level,
(2) drop your files onto the [Batch Auto-gain button] and confirm that the files will be overwritten,
(3) check the results.

And here are the 'before' and 'after' waveforms and loudness levels in MMultiAnalyzer.

Check the orange line in particular - running very close to 0 LU.

In the middle of processing my whole sample and loop library now

To many times I've had a sample I can't hear, then turn up the volume only for the next sample to nearly blow my speakers and ears.

Sorry for commenting a bit late , but, AFAIK, doing this may lead some files to clip, no? There is a Nugen standalone app that checks both EBU loudness AND true peak, so when dealing with a batch of files it limits those that need it.
Or am I missing something?

Well, it assumes you know it won't clip. Modern requirements are usually quite low LUFS, so there shouldn't be such a big deal doing that. Anyways the plugin will output 32-bit wavs, so you can check then. It's generally better to adjust the limiter settings instead, no tool can transparently protect you if your material hasn't been properly limited to some reasonable value. I usually limit it well enough, so that I know the level is quite low and then use the batch processing for all songs in the album, just to make sure.
