It seems that most of the u-he synths support microtuning in the form of .tun files, which is GREAT. I'm an ACE user, and I'm using it to make microtonal music.

But when you switch to another patch, it loses your tuning setting. This makes it a total chore to audition patches when you are working with microtunings. Every time you switch to a new patch, you have to enable microtuning, then open the list of tunings, then click on the tuning that you want again. This is inconvenient and it's breaking workflow.

Is there any chance that a microtuning 'freeze' feature can be implemented in the u-he line soon? I heard this was happening in the past, not sure if it was a rumor, but I've been waiting a long time.

I only mention it today because my friend asked me if I recommend u-he synths. I do, but I had to mention the lack of microtuning freeze. And for him, that was kind of a deal breaker. Synths like Camel Audio Alchemy 1 and the whole Xen-Arts.net line have this much needed feature. u-he synths will be even more awesome if it could be included. :)

All the best!

Check the "Parameter Lock" feature. You can lock the tuning table as well as the on/off status. Then you can browse patches without affecting the current table.
