Hive and hardwarecontroller / display of values

I have set up Hive and my Launchcontrol XL via Midi learn so I can control most important knobs and faders for sound creation from the LC XL in Hive. Unfortunately Hive does not display any values while turning the knobs or faders via Midi in contrast to using a mouse. This is a bit annoying, especially when working on the semitone and tuning knobs. Is this by design or do I need to change something in my setup?
