I cannot work out what they do (they don't do what I thought they would).

Any ideas?

those are for the analyser, for copying/pasting things into the analyser settings>graph
Also you can paste a paused result of all the graphs at the same time from one plugin to the other. (don't go into the analyser settings)

actually forgot myself what it does not do. :D

Hmm, I got it to work by copying an analysis, then going to Settings / Graphs and pasting it into the Comparison section.

That seems a bit long-winded. Previously I could not get the Paste button (as in the screenshot) to do anything. But it does now.

And here is one curve pasted into two different EQs - it looks quite different. Bug or explainable? Even if I jiggled Smoothness I could not get them to be the same.

And ... do we need a [?} button in that top-right corner to explain all the tools on that line, from [HP 12] through to Paste? (F1 (which I keep forgetting) works over many of them).

Yep, it copies the first analysis graph and pastes is as comparison. You can do the same thing from analyzer settings / graphs, but this is just more convenient. As for "?" button, I'd rather avoid that for sake of size - it's not big, true, but I had to spend a long time digging into every f*** pixel on some plugins :D...

Understood; but
(a) I could not find that row of controls described anywhere
(b) could you comment of the visual differences of the same analysis graph pasted into the 2 different equalizers, in the screenshot above?

(a) Analyzer settings / Graphs and there Copy analysis and Paste analysis buttons.

(b) Looks like smoothness ;) (it doesn't copy the graph visually, it copies the actual measurements, so the stuff like smoothness or deharmonization are still working in the target analyzer)

By the way: the two symbols of copying and pasting are too similar in my opinion. I never know, which one does what and always have to try it out first. Sometimes that's annoying as if I paste first, I might overwrite the preset instead of copying it...
Could you improve that by using different or more meaningful symbols?

Well, personally I don't have a problem with that, but if you could draw something, that would be better. It's actually HELL OF A LOT of work, because these things are in styles, so it means fixing that in all styles. And there are like 5 sizes for each icon... Possibly for V11.
