Hi all,
is there a way to adjust the gr meter display, it's very inaccurate, there are no values between 0 and 10. Would be nice to change this, to see more precise adjustments between 3 and 6db of gain reduction. Is this already possible?
Thanks and greets,
Marek

I don't think I follow - I see multiple lines for each dB of GR. Perhaps a screenshot?

Only some values at the left side of the metering bar. The first value is 10.

Aaaaha, axis! Well, to be honest, I don't like that idea. There's nothing worse than milions of values, plus problems with smaller plugins etc. If you need a number, below there's the spot. But in all cases you should rely on your ears, this is just a guide. Why are people so overusing the meters...

it has replaced the "cannot be done for technical reasons and damn backward compatibility"KTlin wrote:Typical Melda-style condescending reply to a feature request.MeldaProduction wrote:...you should rely on your ears, this is just a guide. Why are people so overusing the meters...

Of course, but you can be passionate about your design choices and still give a considerate and polite answer to a feature request. When someone ask you nicely if it is possible to add more values on a meter, in order to make it more reliable, and your answer is basically "No! I don't like it. Use your ears! And stop overusing the meters!" that's quite lame and unprofessional. Actually, I've never seen this kind of attitude in a feature-request reply, at any other company.pone wrote:Nothing wrong about being passionate about your design choices.
Exactly!frizzbee wrote:it has replaced the "cannot be done for technical reasons and damn backward compatibility"it is always fun to see how they get advertised as most versatile and superb plugins with most advanced ui on the market but then lack of standard features or the dev can't handle a simple ui requests

I'm sorry you feel that way. Probably language barrier... But as I wrote to your other post, I simply have to choose what will be done. Impossibe to do everything. And it would even be wrong. Everyone has a different opinion to lots of stuff, often contradicting, so thining that your opinion is the only one correct is just wrong. Fortunately for me, I have the last word. But as you know, in the history I implemented many times more features people asked for than any other developer... So much hate just because someone disagrees...

Hate? You're exaggerating. I was just criticizing your way of responding to some feature requests. This is most certainly not hate.MeldaProduction wrote:So much hate just because someone disagrees...
