Hello all,
I am brand new to Tracktion 6, the Behringer UMC204HD USB audio interface, and recording in general.
I just hooked up my interface and downloaded T6 and during my first mic check I have run into some problems.
1) I cannot hear any audio playback through my interface although I can hear myself during recording. I have the UMC204 selected as output in setting and the mix knob turned all the way to PB.
2) In settings I changed the output to the onboard laptop speakers which allowed me to hear playback of my recording however, the recording is choppy as if short, maybe 1/2 second segments of the recording have been deleted and the rest of the sample squeezed back together.
Like I said, I have a lot to learn before I can call myself a beginner but I would appreciate a little help in figuring out these hopefully simple problems. Thanks for patience.....
Shawn

Investigate using ASIO as the output interface. I'm not sure if it's included within T6 or the Behringer software; if not ASIO4all works well. THEN you may have to play a little with buffer settings - typically allow 10-15 milliseconds buffering while recording. Smaller means less latency, but chance of audio breakup if the cpu/sound hardware can't keep up; larger sounds better but introduces latency.
