Anyone using this successfully? Everytime I add Classic Compresser to an edit, the edit goes silent until I remove it from the edit, then everything is OK again.
I'm pretty sure this used to work. Can anyone confirm?

ISTR classic compressor being one of those vst plugins that can explode in Tracktion[1] if sent too large a signal. I've found a few plugs that seem to go silent when fed a signal they dislike[2]. Probably some math goes out of range, but I don't know why that would be permanent.
[1] dunno if this is a T bug or not, it happens with a few plugins I use, but I've never tested for it in another host.
[2] I had the Tracktion reverb do it once too[3] after sending it a huge and somewhat unexpected resonant peak - one of the pitfalls of 'virtual knobs'.
[3] of course in truth it could just be that I was basically f-cking deafened for about five minutes.

could it be that when you patch the classic into the edit, you then need to turn
on or at least tweak the classic ,this is simple but some times the obivous seems very un -clear

nah, classic compressor ships with a pretty useful default patch.

Huge fan of the Classic series.
Never had a problem with them and T.
