So I installed Chris Lord Alge Signature set on Tracktion 6/7 and although not authorised for Tracktion they worked fine except for the Vocal plug which occasionally crashed the edit when closed down. Now for the funny bit.I decided to demo the electric piano and had to install the latest Waves Central, which immediately crashed when opened,I was advised to update my Graphics drivers which solved the problem only to find that any edits with Waves plugs on immediately crashed.I have had to uninstall the Signature set to get the edits to open.Rolling back drivers and reverting to previous waves central have not solved the problem,Window 7 [64] i7 16g ram. :dog:

You could try using xlutop VST2shell to generate a 'stub' .dll per waves plugin.

Funny but I had similar problem not only with CLA Vocals but Scheps 73 and HLS Strip. I posted about it last month and got zero replies. One project would not even open after applying the plugins. I had to go into the project folder and copy and paste each individual wave file and import them into a new project. I don't have time for that nonsense. It also would do an odd thing where when I closed a project it would start playing back at high speed. Only on the projects that had waves plugins on them.
It started in T7. They seemed to work ok in 6.
I make a lot of quick demos for preproduction and I have some fast, go-to settings on those plugs that I have been using for a couple of years and the fact that I paid good money for them. I'm not just going to give up on them so I started using Logic. They work fine in there.
This isn't a bash on Tracktion. I love it and got pretty fast at what I do in it. I'm hoping it gets fixed soon. Post if you get any help. I'll keep checking back.

I am just getting going with T7, and I have the waves Gold bundle. I have had buggy results when I use some plugins, and some take a long time to load, I have had various problems and crashes. I am using windows 10 and I have a fast machine, Xeon processor and a SSD.
Is there a preference for running Waves Plugins as VST or VST3?

Well,Iv'e uprated to an i7 +16gb RAM,not that this has anything to solve the problem but I decided to load the plugin bundle back and they all work without crashing.I have the same problem when closing an edit they play back at high speed.I can live with that until a fix is found, but for now I'm leaving well enough alone and see what happens  ,

Well, working with things a bit more. I found some settings that help with the Waves plugins and I was able to load a bunch of them into a working mix. I saved the edit....then after closing Tracktion 7 and re-opening it, the program crashes when I try to re-load the file. It will not load back in, program hangs.

I have Waves mercury pack 5.5 and 5.7
That came with my Pro told 8 Some they are licensed to me to my computer but no account information with waves with waves some how I deleted my 5.5 and 5.7 vst shells so I tried to download waves centre and it won't work it doesn't see the plugins in the folder so I demoed some plugins that I already used in tracktion and they were buggy and crashing edits so it to me seems like a waves problem and the new shells, waves do not really update all there plugins the just updated the shells with old code in a lot of there plugins so I think this is were the conflict come in. Is anyone still using the older versions 5.5 or 5.7 and Do anyone have the 5.5 and or 5.7 vst shell

I was told to update my Graghics drivers to see if that would solve the problem with crashing, also navigate to the Graphics accelerator from Device manager and move it to the left if your lucky enough not to have it grayed out,

T7 works very well if I do NOT use Waves stuff. I am really bummed about it, but at the same time I have decided to say the hell with it for now, I just want to make music and I am tired of fooling with the Waves stuff. It damn well should work, but it gives me all kinds of grief so for whatever reason I'll just toss it for now. Maybe T8 will save me. I have high hopes!

I loaded up 32 bit T7, and things are running great! The Waves stuff pops right up, and no crashes and everything is cool. I don't know why but I am much happier.

I see that the VST3 versions don't work well for me, just the VST.
