Just out of curiosity, why does retrigger in the osc section kind of disable the stereo control when I have more than 1 wave selected? I know retrigger means that all waves start at the same phase, right? So why aren't those waves nevertheless spread across the panorama like without retrigger? Or are they and they kind of cancel each other out?

Yes, but it loses most of its effect. Take the init patch from the menu, increase the number of saws to 2, stereo at max, and then turn the retrigger button on and off. You will hear that the wide stereo effect is almost gone when retrigger is on. On headphones it is more obvious.

Interesting... I've never noticed this.
But as far as I can remember, you can make the stereo field appear wider, when the right and left channel are a few milliseconds delayed (with respect to each other). And this should be the case if the oscillators aren't running synchronous. Well, maybe not milliseconds, but still...

Yes, maybe a slight offset between waves creates the illusion of width, must be some physics effect
It seems that even using two oscillators with identical settings (i.e. 2 saws each and retrigger on), one panned to the very left, one to the very right, doesn't increase the stereo effect, it just becomes louder than one osc in the center.

So, basically it is the fluctuations in phase difference because when I use both osc's of the same layer and set each to retrigger and one saw, changing the phase knob of one of them changes the sound character, but not the stereo effect.

Yes, one saw can only be mono of course. So 2 oscs with 1 saw both panned in the center will always be mono. Just pan one left and the other one right, then turn the phase knob (or Fine tune) on one and you'll hear them in stereo.
The Stereo knob spreads the multiple voices of 1 oscillator over the stereo spectrum, so this'll only work for more than 1 voice. Also they need a little detune if Retrig is on, otherwise you'll end up with 8 exact same voices, which will still sound mono.
