You might want to post a preset or some other repro steps. I've never seen this issue in Reaper and it's not clear from your post how to reproduce it.

...no worries...loaded madeq on a track using the "default" setting and when I set the lp.filter got the result you are seeing...no clue...pretty much "plain vanilla" stuff.../s~

We'll the bottom picture has the LP filter turned off.
The top picture can't be the default preset, you have bands active doing stuff so it's not clear what your showing us.
Is the error supposed to be in both images?

...ok, im back...if you use the factory default as a test bed then the issue is present. I tested in lpx and S1 as well, all is good there(thank god). In each case I tested in an empty, new project with just one instance on a single, empty track. The issue also occurs with any of the individual bands; there is "harmonic" filtering applied, even when all that is turned off/disabled in the advanced panel...If we can confirm the problem is not in "our house," I will raise the issue with the reaper dudes.../s~

...good to know it maybe a "local" issue...and, however, the phenomenon occurs with any eq...MDrumEnhancer for example...off to do a clean reinstall of reaper...hth.../s~

What did you reinstall? Reaper? Did you whack the files in AppData?

Got a small Reaper problem project for us to look at?

...full flush of reaper using AppCleaner...but will do it again and confirm the removal of AppData...fresh download and install...ltr 2day...thanx for the help.../s~
