I was back in the Diva & Repro MIDI Assignment Tables the other day and ran into some little things that either slowed down workflow, or I felt could be approved across the U-he product lineup. None of this stuff is sexy, but it would improve working with this screen and benefit every U-he synth so I figured I'd dedicate a thread for some of these suggestions.

1. Sort by Parameter, Channel, CC, Mode, and Type. The data on this window is always displayed in the order it was assigned. By default, I'd want it sorted by CC# or name but ideally, users would be able to sort every column on this page. A filter might even be nice here, but not necessary.

2. Typing Channel and CC values directly into text boxes. I thought this was a bug the other day when I tried to do this. Took a while to figure out I can only change these two values via click and drag.

3. Ability to save/load different controller/mapping profiles. This is a big one for me. I bounce between multiple controllers regularly, and doing so means different mappings. I'm currently managing this by creating the mapping, then locating and renaming the XML file it's stored to and changing them in and out as needed. It would be great if I could have 1 mapping for "Roli Rise" and save another for "Roland System-8" and another for "Remote Zero" and just load the appropriate mapping preset as needed.

4. "All" or "Omni" MIDI channel option. This will help with MPE support. When using the Roli, sometimes CC74 is being transmitted on channel 2 for a specific voice, sometimes channel 3, 4, or 5, etc. Having an "all" or "omni" option that said "CC74 always controls filter frequency for that voice/channel" would improve MIDI setup with MPE devices.

Bonus Request: 5. MIDI re-router. My System-8 has a trigger style Modwheel that I hate, so there are times when I might want to hard assign a MIDI CC to Modwheel (Example: CC104 to CC1), or maybe use my expression pedal for that (CC11 to CC1). While my DAW should ideally do this via a MIDI transformer (it doesn't include one), it would be great if the MIDI assignment table in the U-he synths could fill this gap. Another common use-case could be routing Expression data to Aftertouch for people who have synths/controllers with no aftertouch (and a lot of U-he presets include Aftertouch).

Anyway, this type of stuff would definitely benefit me but it's less fun than a new synth, module, or sound-features. Maybe as maintenance comes up and time allows, there'd be some opportunity to include some of these.
