I'm a new owner of PatchWork. It's a great program.

However, I'm experiencing an issue in the latest version of the standalone. Exponential Audio's Excalibur vst effect is sluggish compared to other vsts (Waves, Soundtoys, Lexicon, all running fine). For example, when clicking the show/hide editor button in a plug-in slot, there is a significant delay before the plug-in window appears (there is no delay with other plug-ins I own). Similarly, there is a delay after choosing a preset in the Excalibur's plug-in window.

I'll contact Exponential Audio about this, but I wanted to check here for possible solutions.

Update. I realized that I didn't install the VST3 version of Excalibur. So, I installed it and it runs without the issues of the VST version.

So, issue resolved for me by using the VST3 plugin.

Glad that the VST3 version works, but I am assuming they are doing something very special with the VST version that is not expected... Have you finally contacted them about this?
