ReaMote is bundled with Reaper, and allows to offload processing of whole fx chains to a ReaMote instance, running somewhere on the network.
In the brave new world of layering heapds of Repro-1 and Diva with Divine settings, I thought it'd be fun to try this out.
My Reaper is running on OSX, and the ReaMote runs on a Windows 10 machine. However, for all the u-he plugs I've tried so far "The slave doesn't have the following DSP: ..." :/
It works for other VSTs, like those from SonicCharge (and naturally the built-in stuff).
I suppose Reaper and ReaMote tries to match up the versions exactly, and some id thingy differs between the Windows and OSX version. Carrying projects across between OSes work tho.
Anyway, not the highest prio thing perhaps, tho I'd love if it worked.
Problem running u-he products over Cockos ReaMote, cross platform osx<->win

Mhh, can't really give you a definitive answer as I can't test this over here. But in theory it should work.
Only ideas I have:
Make sure that Reaper has the exact same version installed on both computers.
Also make sure that you have the same version of the u-he plugins installed on both computers, and that the same plugin formats are installed on both sides. E.g. it obviously won't work if you are using the AU version on Mac, as there is no AU on Windows (but you probably know this already).
Seems like Reamote might have issues with plugins from other developers as well. Or at least it had in the past, according to this topic in the Reaper forum (two years old though): http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=144313

I am fairly sure both were 64bit vst of the same version. But I'll double check and try vice versa also once i get the opportunity.

Ok, had some time to test a bit more and it actually kind-of works.
If adding the U-he VST to the Reaper FX chain _after_ remote processing has been selected it behaves as expected. Also saving/re-opening works after that.

Thanks for the information, that's good to know.
Glad you found a way to make it work.
